Director Lukoil Marine Lubricants (MENA)

June Manoharan, Director of Lukoil Marine Lubricants, has firmly established herself throughout the international offshore oil and gas sector and maritime landscape. Boasting over over 25 years of expertise and industry know-how, June has solidified her position as one of Lukoil’s key decision makers. She currently oversees the company’s entire business scope for the Eastern hemisphere, stretching all the way from Africa to Australia.

Since joining the global Russian energy giants in 2010, June has successfully lead the charge in securing over 50% of the regional market share, and 15% of the international market share. Furthermore, June has been instrumental in the success of the Lukoil’s revolutionary iCOlube unit, an industry revolutionizing technology which reinforces the company’s innovative approach and technical expertise in its efforts to optimize operations and promote a greener environment.

Prior to this, June spent nearly 20 years at British Petroleum (BP) in both Oman and Dubai. Working across all functions at BP like, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Credit, Strategy and Planning, and Sales, she steadily climbed the ranks.  After finding her niche, June grew to be known for her business savvy while excelling in the role of Regional Sales Manager where she oversaw sales operations in the Middle East, Africa, India and sub-continent, and Asia.

In addition to balancing the challenges of motherhood and effectively navigating a largely male dominated industry, June is also a founding member of the Women's International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) in the United Arab Emirates. In October 2017, June was presented with ‘The Maritime Standard Woman in Shipping Award,’ an acknowledgement which celebrated her decorated journey through the industry.

During her post-secondary education, June specialized in Electronics Engineering in Sri Lanka. As her career progressed, she furthered her education by completing a CIMA and a marketing MBA.

June currently lives in Dubai, UAE. Her interests include golfing, swimming, cycling, reading, playing with her German Shepherd, and enjoying the company of her family and friends.
